Do not joke with the carriers of God’s anointing. A little touch from such persons can turn things around in your favour. Whatever you are looking for in life, you need the power of God to let it happen. Just one word from the man of God can change the dead situation back to life in your life. It is my prayer that you receive this in the name of Jesus.
In Acts 10 verse 38 it is written “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him”. Why was Nazareth mentioned here in the description of how God anointed him? Simply put, Nazareth was not respected as a place where good things can come from. However, God was the source of his anointing and it is only God who anoints with the Holy Spirit. It is only the source of your anointing that matters and not where you come from. You may be a village person but if the anointing comes over you, you will do exploits more than those in the cities without anointing. The oil gives you the power to overcome the devil and destroy its works. The anointing signifies that God is with you. How can you tap into the anointing of a man of God?
The anointing of a man of God will work for you if you respect the anointing he carries. The widow of Zarephath in Sidon believed in the oil on Elijah and things went around her for good (1 Kings 17: 1-18). Elijah announced the drought that was to come on Israel for several years. God caused Ravines to bring food to Elijah and he drank from the brook till it got dried. God then sent Elijah to the widow who He had directed to supply food to Elijah. Elijah met the widow gathering firewood at the outskirts of the town and asked her to give him water to drink. When the widow was going to fetch him the jug of water, Elijah asked her also for a piece of cake. The irony was that the woman was out there to fetch the wood to cook a cake from the last flour she had in a jar with the last oil in her jug. The prophet asked her to make a cake first for him from what she had and later make her own cake to eat with her son. The widow had to understand how the anointing works to obey what Elijah asked her to do. Elijah had told her that God said her flour in the jar will not be used up and the oil in the jug will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land (verse 14). At the time Elijah spoke these words, the drought had already lasted three years. Believe in the anointing on the men of God so that your hopeless situations will be changed because of the power and the presence of God with the men of God.
Joshua submitted and respected Moses before he also became a ruler and leader in Israel. Elisha sacrificed many years of his life serving Elijah before he had a double portion of the anointing of Elijah. Respect the carriers of God’s anointing to let the anointing work on your behalf. May it be so for you as you take heed to the word?
